A resolution confirming the appointment of Robert D. Mattingly to the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance

A RESOLUTION confirming the appointment of Robert D. Mattingly to the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance.
WHEREAS, KRS 121.110 specifies that one member of the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance shall be appointed by the Attorney General, subject to confirmation by the Senate; and
WHEREAS, by letter dated August 15, 2014, Attorney General Jack Conway appointed Robert D. Mattingly, of Louisville, Kentucky to the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance for a term expiring August 15, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the Senate finds that Robert D. Mattingly meets the requirements of KRS 121.110(1), being at least 25 years of age, a registered voter in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, not an announced candidate for public office, not an officer of a political party’s state central executive committee, not having been convicted of an election offense, and being a person of high ethical standards with an active interest in promoting fair elections; and
WHEREAS, the Senate finds that Robert D. Mattingly meets the requirements of KRS 121.110 being a member of one of the two political parties which polled the greatest number of votes at the last gubernatorial election;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:
Section 1. The Senate, in accordance with KRS 11.160 and 121.110, does confirm the appointment of Robert D. Mattingly to the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance for a term expiring August 15, 2018.
Section 2. The Clerk of the Senate shall forward a copy of this Resolution, with written notice of its adoption, to Robert D. Mattingly, DeCamillis & Mattingly, PLLC, 150 South Third Street, Louisville, Kentucky 40202; and to the Attorney General Jack Conway, Capitol Building, Suite 118, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601.
